Aghil Sistani (born on December 25, 1983 in Bardseer, Kerman province) is a researcher, author, university lecturer, and sculptor. Sistani holds a Ph.D. degree in Art Research from the University of Tehran, a Master's degree in Islamic Art, and a Bachelor's degree in Handicrafts. Since 2002, he has been conducting continuous studies and activities in various fields of hand-woven carpets and handicrafts. His work includes research, writing, photography, teaching, and collecting antique hand-woven carpets and kilims alongside collaboration with organizations and relevant centers such as the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts; the Cultural Heritage Research Institute; the Kerman Province Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Administration; the Carpet and Handicrafts Tourism Commission of Kerman Chamber of Commerce; the National Carpet Center; the Faculty of Art and Architecture at Azad University Kerman Branch; the Faculties of Art and Architecture at Sistan and Baluchestan University, Kurdistan University, Tehran University of Art; and Kerman Province Tourism Services University. His professional portfolio includes research publications such as "Encyclopedia of Nomadic and Rural Handwoven in Kerman Province," Volume 1 (Weaving Regions: Rabor and Arzouieh); "Encyclopedia of  Nomadic and Rural Handwoven in Kerman Province," Volume 2 (Weaving Regions: Bardseer and Shahrbabak); "Encyclopedia of Nomadic and Rural Handwoven in Kerman Province," Volume 3 (Selection of the Oldest and Best Weavings from Sirjan Region); "Encyclopedia of  Nomadic and Rural Handwoven in Kerman Province," Volume 4 (Nomadic and Rural Weavings from Sirjan - World City); "Encyclopedia of  Nomadic and Rural Handwoven in Kerman Province," Volume 5 (Kilims from Sirjan - World City), which was selected as the Book of the Year by the Islamic Republic in 2023; as well as a book introducing handicrafts in Kerman Province, Volume 1 (with an emphasis on key disciplines) along with related articles. He is currently engaged in teaching, research, further publications on hand-woven encyclopedias for Kerman province."...
