Abstract

Supply chain management is one of the subjects that much attention has been paid to it. Today competition of companies is not important anymore but supply chains are competing, so paying attention to supply chain is necessary and vital. Performance enablers of supply chain have been studied in a scattered manner; however these efforts are not comprehensive enough. In this paper these enablers are studied and classified. This paper has been conducted for handmade carpet supply chain. Handmade carpet is one of industries that has a good position in Iran, however the number of performed scientific researches in this field in not enough. This research has done in Kashan and exploratory factor analysis and second-order factor analysis have been employed. After exploratory factor analysis, enablers are classified into some groups, i.e. leadership and management, knowledge and information management, cooperation, ethic, relationship in supply chain, performance measurement, capacity management and strategy. Among these factors, leadership and management and cooperation are more important. Finally, we provide some recommendations to improve these factors.

Abstract

Customer satisfaction is essential for the survival of the organization. In recent years, Iran's hand woven carpet market has been occupied by rivals. This position is due to the lack of attention to customer satisfaction; hence, in this research, the identification and prioritization of the effective factors on the satisfaction of hand woven carpets customers is discussed. This research is done in two stages. In the first step, Delphi was used and in the second step, the Topsis method was used. The statistical population of this research in the first stage is handmade carpet experts and in the second step is hand carpet customers in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province. The first sample size is 15 people and the second sample size is 400 people using the Morgan table. The results of the research showed that the factors affecting the satisfaction of handmade carpets customers classified into 9 categories that are pre-sale, sales, after sales services, quality features, process characteristics, distribution system, economics, valuation, and artistic features. By using the Topsis method, the characteristics of the arts are all the more important and, in comparison with the whole of the factors, the component of the originality of the carpet is all the more important. As a result, it is proposed to work to preserve the originality of the handmade carpet, through the design and production of original carpets in accordance with the needs of today's customer and the prediction of its future needs.

Abstract

In recent years, hand-woven carpets have lost their global status. Several problems have caused this issue. One of the important things is the uncertainty of the productivity of handwoven carpet production workshops. Existing productivity measurement methods are quantitative. In this industry, obtaining quantitative data is either not possible or hardly possible. So far, no research has been done for the qualitative evaluation of productivity. As a result, this research has been conducted with the aim of providing a qualitative method for evaluating the productivity of concentrated workshops for the production of handwoven carpets. The statistical populations and sampling methods in the first and second stages was: the experts of handwoven carpets, judgmental method; and the producers of handwoven in Isfahan, randomly method. To determine productivity evaluation indicators, the Delphi method was used, and one-sample t-test was used to evaluate productivity. In this research, a method for evaluating productivity was presented. Two dimensions of effectiveness and efficiency have been considered for productivity. Capital, materials, equipment, methods, management and human resources are indicators of efficiency, and achievement of goals and customer satisfaction are indicators of effectiveness. The results of the t-test show that its productivity, dimensions and components are more than the average but less than the ideal. In order to improve productivity, while reducing the amount of consumables and manpower costs that make up a high percentage of the costs of handwoven carpets, it is necessary to increase outputs by improving work methods and using appropriate tools.
